This photo is of a pair of Decoys made by Jode Hillman. They are one of my favorites for many reasons, but most of all since they are now safe on my family room shelf.

I love working with my hands and the restful calming effect it has on my otherwise frazzled nerves. I can turn, carve, build or paint for hours and get lost in the process. I move between techniques often and always have a project in the mix. I Carve Decoys, Scandinavian Plat Plane and Caricature. I turn Bowls, Pens and Stoppers. I've build furniture to houses. I enjoy hand tools as much as power. The painting I am new at, but enjoy it just as much.
